Our Weekend Trip to Dudhwa : Day 2 Part II - The Machan

After coming back from the safari, we hungrily ate our breakfast and slept off for a while. Actually one of the best part of Dudhwa is the stay in the campus with the forest just behind. Also, the complex has a nice Machan which offers splendid view of the grassland, lake and forests.

The Forest Beyond...

More water birds; Little Cormorant, Darter and Lesser Whistling Ducks

The Darter is near threatened as per IUCN red list.

The Machaan stands tall...

There is this milder friendlier version too, though it doesn't offer any views

Took some more snaps while we wandered around the  beautiful complex.

   Another decent map of Dudhwa

Okay, so the vintage rest house dates back to 1905😲 and is known as Saal Van Rest House.

Some Fun Time
