   So finally our ride for the evening was here, excitedly we loaded up


Off we go, in a tastefully modified Tata Xenon for Safari


  And immediately behind the rest house is this delightful little meter gauge track.

The Ant-Hills in Dudhwa are really large...

   Now I am really poor with Accipitridae, can someone please help me out with the identification of this bird below...

   Dudhwa is again one of those few sanctuaries where can get down in the forest to climb up the Machans

Up the Machan


The Kids trying out the binocs to sight some wildlife


   And yes, they spotted something

It's a Barasingha


A wild sow with piglet being heckled by a Bishop Stork 



And now it's the turn of the Barasingha



The taal of terais   



On anticipated lookout


Look, look, a hole in the forest, perhaps a portal to some wonderland



At the Salukapur Elephant Camp

   So that was it, before we tucked in for the night after having a neat dinner in canteen. With hope for tomorrow...
